ETERNA – Mechanical watches since 1856 Each individual Eterna embodies the long experience of many generations of Swiss watchmaking. Since 1856, a dedicated intention to create a product with lasting value irrespective of short lived trends stands behind each timepiece wearing the Eterna brand. In their search for real values, Eterna inevitably had to overcome many technical barriers. It is only natural that Eterna would thus introduce a variety of important developments, many of which remain essential today and have spurred the entire mechanical and self-winding watchmaking industry. Examples worthy of mention are the ball bearing rotorfor self-winding movements, the first alarm wristwatch, and the thinnest quartz wristwatch ever. All of this contributed to the name Eterna gaining a mythical reputation among connoisseurs of the watchmaking industry. We continue to see maintaining and further developing our watchmaking expertise as our mission – completely in the spirit of this fine Swiss-German watch manufactory.
