CORUM
Corum a name from Quorum, a word of Latin origin meaning “a fixed number of members whose presence is necessary to make the proceedings and decisions of an assembly or society valid.” It is then said that the quorum has been reached. The spelling was simplified to CORUM. The symbol, an upright key decorating the dial, is reminiscent of the brand’s first motto, “The key to perfect time.” It evokes the precious tool that gives life to the old timekeepers. It is the symbol of the mystery and the riddle to solve… of the challenge to take up. It is also a reminder of the ingenuity, perseverance and audacity essential to the watchmakers in order to attain the perfect mastery of time. |
